SLM in Stockholm Pride Parade 2022

Scandinavia’s biggest pride parade is coming up, and we would be thrilled if you decided to march with us, SLM Stockholm!

As usual, we will have a flatbed truck where there will be dancing, and the DJs on this truck will be Andreas Barth and Kliin. It will also be possible to dance behind the truck, and we will of course also bring our enormous leather pride flag and a bunch of smaller banners.

Sign up by sending an email to marcus.b@slmstockholm.se with information about what tasks you would like to help out with:

• Loading and setting up the truck in the morning
• Tearing down and unloading at the clubhouse afterwards
• Wheel guard
• Carrying the large flag
• Carrying a smaller flag
• Dancing on the float

In order to clearly show people who we are, and to create a great atmosphere, strict dress code is required of all participants. This means that you will need to show up dressed according to one of our accepted dress codes; the so-called “basic requirement” (jeans and T-shirt) is NOT sufficient. Displaying a naked crotch is also not okay. In addition to this, Stockholm Pride’s general rules of order apply.

We will gather on the day of the parade at 12:00 PM at our starting point on Norr Mälarstrand. Our position in the parade will be 96. The parade starts at 1:00 PM, but it usually takes a good while for all groups in front of us to start moving. Then it usually takes about 2 hours to get to the finish line.

For those who want to help out with setting up and decorating the truck, there will be a gathering at 11:00 AM by the clubhouse (Wollmar Yxkullsgatan 18). People may also show up at the starting point from 12:00 PM to help out with the final touches.
